That's right,

im going to try this once again. Figure i'll start it up after the final game this season, that way its not lopsided Smiley

I'll post as time passes through the season, giving updates on transfer picks, youth pulls, league controversy (if there is any), and overall general stuff about how LGU is doin' these days Smiley

With the offseason upon us LGU has come to yet another interesting crossroads.

22 (soon to be 23) year-old Star innermidfielder David Delgado has brought the team to a new level of competition. Even though he has proved to be indespensible to the team the time will soon come where we must surrender his talent to the market abroad. Not to be outdone upcoming innermid star and second in overall talent 20 (soon to be 21) year-old William Pierce would have to bridge the gap that David would surely leave behind.

The options sticking in upper-management's head is the prospect of building funds for new players in positions that are long overdue for an overhaul, Not only that but to grab a promising young trainee to mold even beyond what David has become. Thus far the only two issues that are getting in the way of this proceedure is the weight that David currently carries, and the funds of course required for such a young trainee. If David was to be sold during the offseason would LGU fall far from its hard-fought third place spot in v.203?

Jeremie Dufort proved himself the victor in the league's scoring competition bagging a grand total of sixteen goals, a large number of which were hattricks. The French forward proved he has what it takes to chip it in when it counts.

In League happenings Polar Bears have just barely clentched the number 1 spot in the league after squeaking by a draw against team-to-beat Philly Ballers. Although we've all had some pride delaying Polar's ascension back into IV the sooner the team gets the heck outta V.203 the sooner the rest of us have a decent shot at the title.

All in all it was the best season thus far LGU has put forth in the league. alot of close games and oodles of competition. We hope to step it up to be a team that can genuinely compete for it all.

LGU has great strife ahead on the road through next season;

It would seem as fate would have it none of the positions who played a Qualifier today promoted or demoted. Unless one of the auto-promoter teams are at the top of their game the league will remain muchly unchained from last season.

This presents us with a few problems in that with everyone vowing to step up their game to compete against League Favorites Polar Bears we have to respond in kind.

Selling an innermind trainee and selling a winger who was replaced not long before has left a sizeable 3 779 193$ US.
At present the plan is to fill the empty trainee slot with something 17 years old and quite skilled..therefor expensive and juice that trainee for all he's worth. Other options include replacing current Star Innermind David Delgado with this new trainee, since none are even close to acheiving the skill he has over the seasons.

Hopefully there will be no suprises from anyone except the continual battle for the #1 spot between Philly Ballers and Polar Bears. If that is the case then LGU is guaranteed at least 4th spot and at worse 6th spot which is fine with me!

Making a player a coach:
It can be cheaper than aquiring a brand new coach, it has to deal with the experience of the player that determines what sort of coach he can be. Obviously you want a rather experienced player to be turned into a coach Smiley

Its been a mighty long time since ive done it mate Sad and this response is coming reasonably late as well *chuckle* sorry about that.
Just recently decided to be more active and talkative about my happenings in Hattrick i guess Smiley

The horrible Season Thus Far:
After FINALLY coming out on top in season 28, this season LGU has firmly grasped its place on the bottom of the league. With the season almost halfway over it'll be a tough task to crawl back up from the 8th position to at least secure a qualifier and stay in V.203. Lucky for us its a heated battle for the bottom four seats. With LGU at 2, Phemto FC LGU's longtime rival in the 7th spot with 5 points, Surf City Coyotes in 6th with 6, and A Band Of Gypsys a newcomer in 5th with 7 points.
It is beyond LGU Head Coach Miguel Trincado Settier as to how this team could be so down and out after dominating last season. With the highest starting midfield lineup in the league and having thus far been unable to dominate possession.
Also confounding is the lack of offensive power (as we have yet to score a single goal this season) after the 2.5M dollar signing of new striker Binoth Roojimans. "Its almost as if were throwing games" Miguel noted "If we are laying down ive yet to see any of the cash were doing it for!!".

We hold the hopes that the team will get out of this funk and start working together as impeccably as they did last season. Things do look a little grim for this weekend's matchup with Palm Springs North, the 4th spot. This is our first crack at the club, and hopes run dim with the 0W 4L 2D streak that we've had thus far.

"We used to eat these teams for breakfast, now its as if were playing blindfolded with a leg tied behind our backs..." -Star Innermid David Delgado

Hopefully the pitch at PSN's Santiago Bernabeu will provide the canvas for the greatest comeback in history

I still recommend PIC'ing this game and trying instead on the more likely wins against Phemto and Surf City Coyotes!

However I wish you all the best, if you really do feel it's only a matter of form then you could very well come back!

As for my coach... I still have the same coach I had before when I posted that and I still intend on training one of my players.

Current Coach:
Daryl Haydock (74791985)
53 years, wretched form, healthy
A weak trainer who is fond of attacking
A pleasant guy who is calm and infamous.
Has outstanding experience and poor leadership abilities.

As you can see he is only WEAK!  Anyway I've had my eye on this guy to be my new coach for a while now.  Is he good enough to make a good coach?

Nathan Buckler (74791995)
27 years, solid form, healthy
A popular guy who is calm and honest.
Has poor experience and solid leadership abilities.

He's currently my captain, and leading goalscorer, so he isn't leaving any time soon.. maybe in 2 more seasons.

What is this I hear about simply firing your coach and getting a new one for free?  What's the deal there?  All the articles I've found dismiss it.

Nathan could use a boost in the experience area but he'd be perfect for a coach. He's agreeable and he's nice, not to mention good leadership to boot.
Get 'em up to Solid or Excellent experience and coachify him! That way he'll be a Solid or Excellent Coach who is nice and so forth with lotsa leadership Smiley the peftect coach indeed.

not sure where you've picked that up mate, firing a coach and getting a replacement Sad

Im really considering PICing this up and coming match, since i'll probly get clobbered, could use them extra points if i were to win though..auuugh! descisions Sad

Do you know anything about how much I can expect experience to change over time?
Is it like.. 20 games = 1 pop?
does playing a friendly AND a match give you more exp than just the match?

I read something that says between 20 and 28 games gets you 1 level. . .  so that will satisfy me for now.
This is unfortunate though, it means I'll never get that great a coach out of nathan!

So I was looking for alternatives.  Perhaps at the end of the current season I'll make Juan a coach.

Juan Paut (74791993)
30 years, wretched form, healthy
A controversial person who is temperamental and upright.
Has inadequate experience and solid leadership abilities.

-he isn't as nice a guy, but he already has inadequate experience. . . and he's 30 already, on the down as far as form is concerned, and prone to injury so I can't use him as much as I'd like(he's my star winger).

im not sure about the exact rate of increase for experience but it does take a long time Sad

I beleive international friendlies score more experience than local friendlies (as in you travel) and Im pretty sure cup games score more experience than regular games.

I played my coach-to-be every single game but im unsure if that made all the difference as far as getting experience faster Sad

Wish i knew more about the mechanics mate Sad but im not gonna lie to you and say i do.
