Title: Tiles of the Week 2
Post by: Gustave on May 12, 2004, 11:41:12 pm
I know its been more then a week but I've been busy. The file is not really tiles either its a house, but anyway, can I get some cretiques on the house, not the background tiles as they're old ones that I'm going to change 100%. Specifically I'd like to know how I can improve its quality, and maybe some roof color suggestions etc.

Edit: I took Newts advice and made the wall look top-down, you can see the newest screen above. Tell me if the second one is better then the first please, thanks.

I think it is fine how it is.  Good work once again!

Hmm..for a color, how about red?

I don't think that house would look right on any other background.  But if you planning on changing it, I'd say to make the walls a darker brown.  The roof would look good darker blue or a red, IMO.  Nice job.

Well the colours look good to me, but maybe the perspective on the walls is a bit off... I didn't really get a sensation of looking down at the house, it was more like looking at it head-on. The roof is excellent, but the walls could do with a rethink, I think. Looking very nice though :D

I agree 100% and thought the exact same thing before I posted it. I like the shading I did on the walls but you're right it needs to be more top down. I don't wanty to redo the walls because I like them but I will take another attempt at the shading in a more top-down style. Thanks for all the cretiques.

Edit: Check out the newest screen with the top-down style in my first post.
