Title: Who would re-populate your Earth? Post by: Ty on July 10, 2004, 01:25:40 pm Newts and I had an interesting conversation on who we would use to repopulate Earth should all inhabitants be wiped out (which followed on from my previous conversation of which nations I would destroy).
So, the question is : If you had to choose two people to repopulate the Earth, who would they be, and why? They can be real or fictional people, so use your imagination. My choices: Bruce Lee and Lady Penelope (from Thunderbirds). Bruce Lee for his intelligence and physical prowess, and Lady Penelope for he looks, sophistication and intelligence. Yeah, smart people are good. Vlad the Impaler and Queen Boadicea Both good leaders, with an interesting leadership style to match. They'd either repopulate or kill each other though. I'd probably make sure they were all the same religion as well, just because unity is a very important thing when repopulating one's planet. We don't want 4 arab babies starting a jihaad on the 6 spanish babies, and having your new population blown to smithereens.
aside from the last joke there, i'm serious. I'd want as many intelligent, well rounded, moral people as i could find, because i'm very sick of all the greedy slick business men ruining my planet and sucking down all my oxygen! Whats the point, its just going to get back to the stage where the human race can destroy itself once again, and maybe there wont be a convienient 2 survivors next time, so might as well end the vicious cycle now. Because they don't have genes, and therefore are immune to inbred disorders. Also, they carry more scientific knowledge within their bodies than all the rest :P. Jordan and Peter Andre! A race of super geeks won't do any good, so how about a race of useless sloths who just attempt to look good by plastic enhancements. But you may of course ask, whos going to be the plastic surgeon? Well, i guess there wouldnt be one. So the race would practically be doomed from the word go. Also, seeing as how intelligent both specimens are its unlikely that either will catch enough food to survive, maybe not such a good idea then :S Title: Who would re-populate your Earth?
