2. England 3. Croatia I actually think England might do well this year, they have a very good team. Portugal haven't had much positive publicity lately which is good since they're best as underdogs. No sleep and I Wander down to the 'set and flip through a few channels to find that im just in time to see from 2:31 the entire first half of South Korea & Togo. Looks like its a full day of football for me!! Total incompetence, and I think Holland definitely deserved an equaliser but there wasn't enough actual football played to let them score it!

I was impressed with Robben and Van Persie; really hard to stop those guys.
England - Portugal is getting to be a classic. Hope England don't bring it. :) England haven't been playing very well lately, but they'll step it up against Portugal for sure. The red card was completely unfounded. A direct red! I thought that was hardly a yellow. Title: World Cup - Choose your teams Post by: Newts on June 27, 2006, 10:29:13 am To be honest I think the standard of refereeing has been quite high on the whole; most refs seem to want to let the game "flow" (make me a pundit!) but the Portugal-Holland ref was really poor, and by the sounds of it the Italy one was too.

I'd have a guess at 0-0 before ET. England should be able to hold out with their ace defence even if the attack is lacking. But then Portugal will score the golden goal coz of England being absolutely knackered by then.
