Title: Shining Tears Movies Post by: Newts on October 05, 2004, 08:39:47 pm I think that devastating attack where they formed a circle around the enemy is in Shining Soul, where it's called the "Shining Force" - you and your party equip a weapon, charge it up and form a circle around enemies, "with devastating consequences".
I like the look of the game, but these kinds of games suffer offline because you need a regular playing partner who's as into the game as you are. Still, it definitely looks on the cool side :) Title: Shining Tears Movies Post by: Job on October 06, 2004, 01:52:13 pm I think it's somewhat expected that the shining force type battle engine would become extinct. Now that you have fantastic graphics and powerful processors, turn based chess-like battles really have trouble fitting in, and people expect more.
The GBA is probably the only console that's ever going to see a real shining force IV. Graphics are no excuse for gameplay changes.

i liked the game and was kinda shocked when your 2 man team had to fight a group called the "Shining Force". i beat the game in 2 days but it was overall a decent game.......just not a force game....... :cry: |
