| February 12, 2005 | 4:30:38 PM | By: nuckles87 | Fans of the Shining series will be happy to hear (or not) that yet another new title is in the pipeline, tentatively code named Shining Project Next. Sega has been going all out with their fabled Shining franchise this past year. While not all of them have been met with critical acclaim, they have reinvigorated the series none the less. Now, Sega is planning to continue their expansion of the series with another game, currently code named "Shining Project Next". Sadly that's all the information available. Sega hasn't exactly pleased Shining fans as of late, as they changed the remake of their strategy RPG "Shining Force" into an action RPG, so perhaps this will bring the series back to its roots. Or perhaps it will take Shining into another direction, like the other none "Shining Force" games in the Shining series. Currently, the only proof of the game's existance is an image on the Shining Tears website. Take a look and judge for yourself. The latest "Shining Force" project was an action RPG. This new project is not even "force"-labelled. Just "Shining". It will probably be a non-RPG action game. Maybe an FPS? Post by: Newts on February 17, 2005, 11:18:15 am Now that would be excellent - a first-person RPG is still very rare these days (I only know of SitD and StHA), but StHA is one of the best games in the Shining series, so a proper sequel would be good. I doubt it'll be a Force game, but how many real-time battle RPGs can they give us within such a short space of time?
