I am a girl, I swear, and I do like techno music, but I'm not familiar with "spacesynth". like Elvenfyre said, you can talk to me on YIM, you're more than free to and I'm on often. and as for "lurking" vs posting I am a little shy, but it's not as if I join and then never show up again.

hmmm, ok let me just soak this in a bit

*stares at monitor*
hehehe :)

ok. Like with all the types of electronic music Spacesynth is a little different. Its a Snyth heavy sort of music that  focuses more on the melody rather than the kicks. Its not as hard as something like house or rave but not nearly as 'soft' as trance or ambient. It really reminds me of a pseudo-80s style synth arrangement. Its nice if your into that sort of thing, if you'd like i can toss you some download links or refer you to a thread where i posted some links for people to enjoy

Welcome to ye olde blah. Were all slightly crazy here so uh, try not to take us seriously all the time.

*thumbs up*

Seanikins, I never take anything too seriously. and like any techno fan I won't turn down a link that'll get me more to add to my collection, especially if it's something I haven't heard before, thanks.

He posted some nice stuff in an older thread on this board. I'm personally much more into rock & metal, but I really liked the songs :).

But....both Seani and Dragonarigirl are from California? Suspicious ;).

Instead of referencing the thread i think i will re-link in this thread all my  Spacesynth collection (eventually). All of which are available for free download so you dont have to worry.

Sorted by artist with a direct download link

A woman on Ye Olde Blah that wasn't whatshername* from thingymagigy** and isn't one of our girlfriends. Although my girlfriend never came on here, because quite frankly she'd have been bored through the utter intellectual conversation that converses here.

* Moogie

Is this a bad thing? Shining Force was my first RPG, it's very nearly my favorite game. I'm currently playing the second one(yes, it's taken me this long to get ahold of it) and when I found it was quite a bit more difficult I joined this and shiningforcecentral in hopes of getting help, having fun, and making some friends(maybe even a couple who role play online). I'm not offended, I'm just saying why I'm here. I dont think I'll ever be as awesome a gamer girl as moogie, but I still am one, lol.

Nope. Didn't say it was. Only said I missed it :P not like much happens round here usualy. I feel gutted that I didn't pop in when this thread was created, then I could have thrown in some other witty comment.

now now my dear its all relative!
There really are no pre-requisites to being 'awesome' in gaming as a whole, just the concept that you game at all fits you in the club :)

So no comparing eh? your just as cool as any other female gamer in my eyes.

If you happen to live in a freezer, or other low-climate controlled facility, then you're probably cooler.

Where are you up to in SF2?

Right before the battle with the prizm flowers. I know I'm near the end, I watched my mom play when I was little.

lol dang, second generation gamer girl? =p

btw... to be really honest, its not that hard to find an emulator/rom for the game... though many don't condone it, they are everywhere. (bah, still havn't gotten my hands on a working saturan emulator let alone sf3 or knights)

I'm not sure she means that kind of roleplay, Alberto ;)

Good Saturn emulators aren't that hard to find, but ISOs probably are. I think I have one called GiriGiri Hack or Satourne, or SSF... can't remember. I have lots, and only one really works properly :(

Oh yeah, and Alberto, it's NiGHTS.

I use the original CDs - nice try :P

NiGHTS on Wii is strongly rumoured, but we'll have to wait until TGS in September to see it, if it even exists.

I tried an ISO of SFIII (For educational purposes of course! :P) on multiple emulators and it's pretty bugged.

I've seen Saturns being sold pretty cheap though, and I just bought Shining the Holy Ark for $10 on eBay. :D

Mmmmmmmm, Shining the Holy Ark.

To follow up dragonarigirl's post earlier, I can't imagine watching my Mum play a game, let alone Shining Force II. Kudos to your Mum!

Alberto, what type of role play do you participate in? like d&d stuff?(cuz I'm not good at that) I role play through I/M.
and yeah, I'm a second gen gamer girl, but I've yet to get as good as my mom at some games, such as spyro and other real time games, at least when it comes to getting everything. I know I've done a few things that mom hasnt done, like get all the cards and beat ozma in ffIX and get all the "appears valuable" items, and dragon forms in breath of fire III.
I hope talking about ff isnt flamed upon here like at sfc
By the way, I'm passed the prism flower battle, but my pc is having major problems and I dunno when I'll be able to play again.

I use to do a lot of 1 on 1's around gaia but stopped because gaia's comunity is dry. =/

Post by: dragonarigirl on July 22, 2006, 05:05:27 am
I've never played gaia, I never liked MMORPG's (that's what it is, right?). I'd still rp with pretty much anyone as long as they have an orginal character and they can think on their feet (I had a rp buddy once who sometimes literally took weeks to reply). I need more role play ppl anyway, I think I only have one at the moment.

********OUT OF CHARACTER********
Sorry to have to break it to you this way, but we're all just role playing here.  None of us are the shining force geeks we claim to be as it's just a fun front.  In reality we're all females, and all strippers who work at the same Estonian whorehouse.  Don't take it the wrong way and please keep role playing with us, we're normal in fantasy!
