Title: Shining Force III on an emulator
Post by: Newts on November 09, 2006, 06:39:10 pm
Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin!

Here is a video of SFIII running on Cassini. (http://www.prosody.co.uk/SFIII.wmv)

I haven't got any further than this first bit, so I don't know how battle sequences play or anything, but I think the first bit looks pretty nice. It doesn't seem to run that quickly or smoothly when I'm actually playing it, so I won't be playing it all the way through, but I can do some fairly high-quality video capture all the same, which pleases me.

Anyone want any other video from the first three minutes of a particular Saturn or N64 game? The sky's the limit!

Actually, I was very much impressed by the emulation of the N64 Zelda back when I ran it on my 500 MHz Athlon ;). I forgot what the emulator was though... :)

I always loved the introduction to SFIII. Such a good game.

Cassini doesn't work very well for me :(

On SF3 the in game graphics are perfect and smooth... but the music isn't there and the text is all fuzzy!

Its a shame though because I thought the graphics looked even better than they did on the Saturn :(

Other games like NiGHTS don't even work at all on my machine.....

*Kisses his SF3 case* I wished I could play the other two disks though.
