Ye Olde Blah

OK FOLKS.

Shining village v.06 .. it's a town in a shining force game and everyone can come up with one person to inhabit the village.

Name, Species(description?), Job in village, Things they might say to a complete stranger walking up and talking to them, any other interesting things.

here's mine...
Jojo the old man, Human(old man.. ), Looking after youngsters while other peeps are working, "have you seen my marbles?" and "When I was your age I knew how to tuck my shirt in!"
His house is actually pretty big, a whole spare room where children play sometimes.

I propose Hans, the blacksmith. He's a reasonably young man, and doesn't have a grumpy old master to teach him, which makes him something of an oddity in an RPG. He's a successful, young, manually-capable businessman.

When talking to perfect strangers, he would say something like:

"Actually, the key is to strike while the iron is cool. Not many people know that"

Hans is a cool character.

Mercator the Old Geezer. Keeps walking around the park (where he sleeps on the bench )
Has some wise sayings like:

"Love is grand , Divorce is a hundred Grand "

or

"Analogies in writing are like feathers on a snake. "

or

"Duct tape is like "The Force." It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together"

or
"I plan on living forever. So far, so good."


 

I would be the boris the bum sleeping in the alley,  say something like

ZZZZ ...  Why you wake me from my humble sleeping?
Have money for some ale?  My pockets have run short.

Pilius the mad alchemist that doesn't know anything about his craft but ends up getting lucky and making wonderful things. He is found in his 'lab' which is actually a shed out behind the tavern.

Name: Mungo
Race: Golem
Occupation: Works in a mining town, helping to smash rocks and occasionally people that get in the way. The residents aren't sure if he's actually intelligent, so when he's not working he's caged up in the outskirts of town. Occasionally children throw rocks at him for fun, but he's a golem so he actually finds them quite tasty. His favourite rock is limestone, but it gives him bad gas.

Most likely to say: SMASH! CRASH! BASH!
Least likely to say: I say, these flowers are quite delightful.
