I will get it in the summer when I am working at camp (money supply  :lol: )  I heard the graphics were amazingly better than the Genesis, the character portraits were new and improved, and the gameplya was excellent.  Also, are there new characters?

If I heard right, there are three new characters.  One who uses cards to attack.  The others I'm not sure about.  Everyone also seems to be more involved in the story, instead of just showing up, saying a few things, and joining you.

The new characters feature in a sub-storyline in the background whilst the normal SF1 story is going on, it definitly adds an extra dimension to the game! Theres alot of mystery surrounding the new characters to start with as well, im interested to see how it all adds up :)

The graphics are excellent, especially in battle. The portraits have all changed too, you also get bonus cash and items for completing battles within a certain number of moves!

Either ways, im racing through chapter 3 at the moment and when ive finished it expect a sizable review on SFW (when SFW is back as well :P)

Excellent, the new features to the game will make it more challengeing since I'm sure all of you have beaten the original SF's (Unfortunately, I have not beat it) and it will also bring back some old memories  :D

Is it difficult and is there difficulty settings? I know for one the original was too damn easy and would be awsome if it was harder

Well if it was harder, that would kick ass.  Then again, they probably weren't planning on many people who had played the original.  The settings may change the stats to make them only slightly more challenging, like in SF2.

The game starts out easy, but gets increasingly difficult with each replay. :D

What sucks about it is the translation. I'm used to the fact that German translations suck (worst case example is FF9) so  it didn't surprise me that also the SF translation is nearly incomprehensible but what is insane is a bug in the game - you can't cast egress without smashing the game.
At first I thought it was only an error in the ROM I had and I couldn't believe Grom as he told me that it was in the real deal aswell. But my sis got it recently and the same bug appears.

Shame on you SEGA!

Egress bug?? I don't understand.  Can you not Egress from battle?

You can cast it but the game will hang at that point and tons of 1s and 0s will start to fill your display

I didn't get it on the emulator actually...

Well I am not sure if it is first battle only - but I could repeat it during the first battle on both  systems - emu and GBA.
->Selected German Language
->started new game
->entered first battle
->cast egress after some turns
->bang the game was dead

I would blame the emu (btw using visual boy advance) if it wasn't on the game cartridge/GBA aswell....

I don't wanna sound mean, but it was WAY too easy.  I'll have to get to the third playthrough to get a challenge...
