Calippo [the fruity ice in a tube, a favourite summertime snack of mine]

It's a true student classic, and there's a lot of scope for more advanced chefs to improvise - personally, I prefer to use Red Leicester instead of English Cheddar, but both are fine. I'm sure the top notch cooks among us can use their brains to concoct even more challenging recipes. This one is a personal favourite;

Flash-boiled pasta threads in a light chicken sauce

You will need;

One Pot Noodle
One kettle [preferably electric]
Water [mineral/spring/mountain, to your taste]
A fork [for eating]

1. Take your pure water and pour it into the kettle.

2. Heat up the water in the kettle until it's boiling [expert hint: look for the steam, or listen for it switching itself off]

2.5 Whilst you're waiting for the water to boil [remember to watch for the steam!], peel the foil lid from the Pot Noodle and remove the ready-prepared sachet of condiment.

3. When the kettle is boiled, pour the hot water into the white receptacle and over the pasta threads ["noodles"]

4. Let it stand for two minutes, then stir with your fork.

5. Open the sachet of sauce and drape it over the noodles.

6. Let it stand.

7. Eat.

It realise this may seem complicated, but once you've done it a few times I'm sure you'll gain confidence. With this recipe and Nick's "melted cheddar on toasted bread supreme", you'll be the envy of all your friends! Happy cooking!

Welcome back mate

The SFI remake looks quite cool, and I'll probably get it as I never had the original on the Mega Drive. Extra characters and stuff like that gets a thumbs-up in my book any day. Now they just need to sort out an original, proper SF-title, rather than another Shining Soul game [although SSII is supposed to be much improved].

By the way Nick, I downloaded the video of your project - it was very nice until it froze up about ten seconds in Apart from that, it looked impressive - what are the chances of Legends of Atlantis being fully 3D?
