The Shining Source

Hello YOB! its been a long time. Don't even know if anybody still remembers me! I'm lazy bum, although i have long outgrown that net alias, i go by Cliff now (a real alias i use in life). And yes i know i disappeared for ages. Well, in the commercial realm, shining activity has resumed (Shining Force Neo etc.) and Shining Force III now has emulation and patch projects going on. So that all aroused my interest again. A few mnths ago i was finding this place but the site seemed down but now its all back up again!

Nice to all u guys still here. Hope all the shining fangamery is still strong.
As for me, i've gone thru loads in these past few years. I'm currently abt to take my A levels in 40 more days. After that its National Service for 2 years and hopefully Uni (computer science, i pray to God). Heavily involved in music in general. Been learning guitar and studying music in general while pursuing heavy metal in my band, Bloodstone (www.myspace.com/bloodstoneonslaught) where i play as lead guitarist and released a demo last year and played countless local gigs. But i'm out of the band now to pursue studies.

As A levels approach, the stress is on. And my interest in programming resurfaced (although at the wrong time) and i did a lot of reading in these years.

Talk about a blast from the past! Good to see you back in Shining town, and considering what I've been up to today I can definitely say the Shining Source is still going strong

I just missed being on a forum, being shiny, and talking to people who mostly belong to the West/Europe! I just missed that european feel. I mean Power Metal will do for a day or 2, but other than that...Yeah. I just go back into playing video games cuz i've been bogging myself down with stupid academics and mostly music for the past years, and life's all good again.

How's everyone doing? I have my As in like 1 month plus and i'm scrambling to get a decent ceritificate. Hoping to do computer science since my initial ambition of sound engineering got niftily shoved by my mom (u have to skip junior college/A levels for tt, and hence u go to some private instituition to do ur diploma and degree, its unconventional in this country and being a conservative society tt is singapore, and being a south indian, its somewhat, taboo and unprestigious)

But anyhoo, i'm gonna get ard to playing Golden Sun 1 and 2 which i haven't. My brother and my sister-in-law (Suckgas, if any of u can remember) have SF Neo but i dun have the time to go over to their place and play it.

But enuff abt myself. How is everyone doing! What u guys doing now? Last i heard some of u guys were doing uni. Now i guess must have graduated and working. What's up now guys?

and i dunno if i told anyone this, but i use Newy's Prosody acoustic song/clip for a tamil project in 2003 or 2004 i think and i think i got an A on that haha! I used it over a simple animated video/slideshow i made. It matched very well actaully haha. Think i shall go pay a visit to prosody now.

Which song did you use for your video? If you'd got in touch I probably could have put something much better together for you! If possible I'd love to see the video - I'm vain as always.

I graduated last year and then again this year, so I'm now a postgraduate. Unfortunately I'm not working, but I have high hopes that I shall be able to get gainful employment soon. So I keep telling myself!

Golden Sun is awesome; I'm not too far into the sequel which probably indicates it's not as good as the first one. You might think differently, though.
