I want to make it clear that if i can successfully build a multiplayer shining style battle engine then i win. Unless any of you manages to finish his/her (her?) game first, and remind yourselves that there are guidelines which regulate what is and what is not a finished game, i say, unless one of you finishes a shining game before i create my engine, then i shall be considered victorious. And you can pretend that it doesn't matter who wins, but no one will really believe you.
I'm gonna win... :x

LOL!!!!
I don't think it is very fair to compare a multiplayer engine with any full game. But perhaps you forgot that you're one of the few people who actually completed a Shining Project. After all, Penn Pong I & II live, don't they? And the BABS'es, Tatakai (not Tateru though) and Shining Memory are completed projects too, so that particular prize is well taken already years ago .
However, online multiplayed battles is a wholly different playing ground, and if you can make a working engine for that, you'll very likely be the first to have conquered the last big hurdle in Shining Game Development . So I guess you win then, so I guess we should give you a prize .
I am very much looking forward with what kind of engine you will come up with . Personally I'm going to stick to single player or hot seat multiplayer with BABS 2, as I suck in network coding right now and still have lots to finish off in the normal department . So, I won't stand in your way .

Damn, if I didn't have a thesis to write I would finish SO and become victorious. Guess some of us have less time than we used to

Don't worry too much. This semester i have to write a compiler and operating system code which are taking up all my time. But summer vacation is nearing. I've been thinking up some interesting stuff i'll be doing then. It's such a bother i have to wait.
