76   Re: Wii Fiasco
Any luck at all..?

I fear Nintendo are shooting themselves in the foot a little more each day...

77   Re: Marvel Movies
I saw Spider-man 3 yesterday. It's really good. Lots happens but it never seems rushed, and it didn't seem too long either; Superman Returns seemed to have two or three endings, but apart from a few too many fade-outs I thought Spidey was about the right length. The ending doesn't quite work but the rest of it is so impressive I didn't really mind. Doesn't top Spider-man 2 but it's still a really good film. Best cameos ever as well.

Go see it.

78   Re: La Bonet version soixante-neuf!
The BONET has been overpowered by the Wheel of Morality! This imbalance cannot last.

Revive! Return!

79   Welcome back, Blah!
I missed you. Don't ever leave me again.

80   Re: La Bonet version soixante-neuf!
I've saved you quite a lot of technique disks Phill, and also have a rare weapon or two I could probably afford to give you - Club of Laconium for example Cheesy

I'll try to get on tomorrow night but as I'm working all day it might be around 8-9pm BST. Shernal can join Team SO with pleasure, though Smiley

81   Re: La Bonet version soixante-neuf!
I've not been on PSO much at all recently either, although I did get a Fire Scepter: Agni and managed 3/4 of a Hard TTF run on my own, so that's quite good.

How are you guys doing, Phill and Sean? Any chance of meeting up over the coming days/weeks?

82   Re: The Wheel of Morality Keeps on Rollin'
I stickied this as it even eclipses the IMs Phill left on my MSN. It's a shame I was away at the time and stupidly forgot to save them too. They were awesome though. Cheers, Phill!

83   Re: Proper advice needed
Chili Con Carnage on PSP is good - stupid but accessible fun. I liked it and it's not even my kind of game.

Cooking Mama on DS is genius. I'd say similar things - daft but fun - so I guess this shows where Sony and Nintendo differ.

Another Code (Trace Memory there, I think) is interesting, but I've not played it enough to say whether it's worth getting or not.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All has just come out today over here and I can't wait to play it. I adored the first one and I just hope this one is as well-written and entertaining.

Sonic and the Secret Rings on Wii is absolutely fantastic. I'd say it's my favourite Wii game by far - I've clocked up over twenty hours on it, and I reckon I'll probably play it almost as much as Zelda. It's really good.

I got WarioWare when it came out and played it for a few days, but the multiplayer modes aren't as good as the Gamecube one, which I believe is mainly down to having to pass the controller around. On the Gamecube there was an amazing mode called Wobbly Bobbly, where four players played simultaneously and had to balance on top of a stack of turtles between minigames. It was absolutely genius, but sadly the Wii version lacks one game of a similar standard. The minigames themselves are outstanding though, and there's a really cute two-player friendship game where you have to jump over holes in the road. It's amazing.

Phew.

84   Re: Proper advice needed
Good things come to those who wait - hopefully in the next few weeks I'm getting bumped up to 30 hours a week Cheesy This means more money for games. Hoorah!

85   Re: Online Gaming Communities
qprman - it's basically the same game that ran on the Dreamcast, so I reckon you'll be fine with your PC, especially if it ran FFXI. You can always set the graphics way down anyway if you have any problems, but I don't think you will. These are the minimum requirements anyway - http://www.psobb.com/guide/pregame/conf.php.

It was good to meet you in-game last night Phill - with two Rangers and two Forces onboard, Team SOnline is going to be a formidable force Cheesy

86   Re: Online Gaming Communities
It was awesome playing with you guys last night Cheesy We sure kicked that Dragon's backside Wink

Phill - did you get the PM I sent yesterday explaining it all? I hope so. I think Sylvania is one of the busier ships, so if set aside Block 1, Lobby 10 as our hang-out spot then we can meet there.

Our team is SOnline, so once we meet up I'll invite you and that way you'll always be able to tell when one of us is online. Add me to MSN - milonmustdie@hotmail.com - and we'll meet up and get going. I can even lend you a Mind Mag for a while to help out Smiley

87   Re: Online Gaming Communities
Awesome news, Phill. Sean, Ty and I just cleared Forest 1, and we have our own team and everything.

I'll PM you the details!

88   Re: La Bonet version soixante-neuf!
Yep Phill, it was. I forgot though Sad

89   Re: Online Gaming Communities
You're right Phill, they were ace times. I didn't know you'd played PSO BB - unfortunately if you want to play for free you'd actually lose your character, but if you don't mind playing again from scratch I'd be more than happy to accompany you! I'll send you a PM with the details in Smiley

QPRMan - it's an action RPG kind of like the Shining Soul games. It's got a more futuristic setting, but basically there are three kinds of characters - Hunters (swordsmen), Rangers (long-distance attackers) and Forces (magic), and you level them up by going on quests and exploring the planet Ragol. It can be quite overwhelming at first, as can any online RPG I suppose, but if you're interested in playing it I 'd be very willing to show you the ropes and get you trained up a bit. The website is http://psobb.com - have a look on there and see if it appeals to you!

I absolutely agree with you, too. Online games live or die by their community - who wants to play with a load of arseholes? Banter is fine, but the players I've most enjoyed playing with have all been polite, friendly and helpful - if there's anyone I don't like playing with I just leave the game. It's a shame but at least it means I don't put up with any crap!

I forgot about YoC. D'oh!

I can open your eyes,
Take you wonder by wonder!
Over sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride.

A whole new worrrrrrlllllddddddd!
A new fantastic point of view!
No one to tell us no,
Or where to go,
Or say we're only dreaming.

A whole new worrrrrrrrlllllllllddddddddd!

I love this song.
I am not gay.
