A friend of mine is going to the netherlands for the next 6 month to continue his studies there and next thursday is his birthday so I thought that I might write a card with a dutch "Happy Birthday" on it. So I wondered if one of you could translate a sentence a sentence like
"Happy Birthday and best wishes" (or better something more eloquent) to dutch.
Thanx in advance dudes!

"Prettige verjaardag en de beste wensen"
That is the literal translation, you could also try:
Gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag en de beste wensen.

t's not like I really care
Well if a German reads the written dutch out loud it will sound like a german patois. Nevertheless it's a bit hard to translate the other way round
