I think im missing something:
The overall flow of hattrick seems to be that you grab as many guys as you can train..train them up to a repsectable age (i usually go 23) and sell them for new trainees or for other positions.
Think ive butchered it im keeping a few here and there and selling the rest...is this bad? does this hold me back?

In short? Yes, although training has become less profitable in general as of late...

hmm...
My thought was, that by keeping a few star trainees that in the future they would be awesome. This is true with Toni Anero, when i first started out he was only a solid innermid...now he's up to brilliant. Sure it took a while to get there (about four seasons) but he was also older then...think of how cool a player could get if i find an excellent 17 year old and train him/keep him.
That was my thought anyway. Thanks for the info 'n stuff

Make sure you have trainees that have desirable side skills, even if it costs you a few 100k extra now... it's probably the only way to get a decent price for your players when they're magnificent+. Price levels for guys with no side skills at all are WAY lower than for guys with a few inads (or better) in the right places.

The Defendermarket seems ti be back on track. Passable and higher passing is still way overprized.
Hopefully my defender will pop next week to Supernatural. The average prize is rising by the day

Lost my second game in a row. Funny enough my best innermid was taken out during the first half after scoring and making quite a performance. In the second half the entire structure of the game was changed and i lost 1-4.
Kindof Ironic..isnt it? So far ive been saying it was a mafia hit or someone was payed off to take him out. the "Gestapo".
Ah well..might end up gettin' rid of him since he's rather oldish..he has served me well ever since i started this game
