You could inquire about your hours and explain to them your situation. I understand that sometimes schedualing is a difficult matter with employers but if they like you so much surely they wont force you to stay in a position where you cant make ends meet!

The second job is a great idea too Smiley

Newts works hard for the money! so hard for it honey.

34   Re: La Bonet version soixante-neuf!

urgh..the quotes, hurting my eyes!

37   Wii Fiasco
Oh yes mates its quite the rat-race.

Several adds were to be had in today's paper. Most notably the Wii advertised at various electronics venues, something that ive been on a quest for since day 1 and yet still to no avail.
Upon the latest dissapointment ive drawn some pretty drastic conclusions but with what i had seen with my own eyes they are certainly plausible.

The one instance that hits rather below the belt was the college try i fancied at Circut City (or Circut Shitty as ive always called it). Announced in sunday's paper that they will be handing out vouchers one hour before the store opens, i thought how spiffy! all ive got to do is show up and get in line and hope for my voucher! Store opens at 10:00 AM, we show up at 8:45. At that time we were greeted with the best sight ive seen EVER! a relatively empty parking-lot with no yet forming queue! I was estatic, i had thought that today was truly the day i would finally at long last get my system. Unfortunately mates such is not the case, upon standing outside in the company of a few other older women purchasing for their children a fellow approached us and told us that the tickets had already been given out, at 8:00 AM, A full hour before the add indicated. I was furious, and we re-conviened into the car to form a plan. We had a great setup of cruising by stores and seeing what gives but there was nothing mates, nothing.

After the fact the thought had struck me..what if that bloke was trying to run interference? Misinformation if you will. Feeding us that dribble so that he could prevent three families from recieving a voucher thereby increasing his chances to get his hands on one himself? Possible..entirely possible.

This buy them and ebay them nonsense is getting on my last nearve. I just want my system so i can add it to my collection and enjoy choice titles. I dont want to try and make money off of it or whore it out to some friends or whatever. I cant help but feel im being screwed out of something at times...

40   Re: Feelings you wish you didn't have...
This is going to come off rather 'Emo' about it but I assure you that's not the way of it.

There are some times that i wish i didnt care so much anymore. In this day and age it doesnt seem like being the nice fellow is worth it. All you get to do is fill an emotional void that attractive and perhaps intelligent females find lacking in their current relationship. Im not over-exaggerating in the slightest, ive personally been the 'substitute emotional vending machine' to kind ladies for nearly a decade now (possibly a decade and change). It doesnt get you anywhere gentlemen, except to a wonderous new land of having a void of your own that you need to fill somehow. Its interesting how that works, one void broods another void to brood another void...it just gets passed on to the next unfortuante soul, its never resolved! I may be filling a need for emotional support and contact by filling that void myself but it brings me a physical void that i get to try to fill...funny thing is that's not me at all. I cant 'use' someone like that with absolutely no emotional attachment. So what am i left with? this feeling of uselessness.

bollocks!!!!

Divine Copyright Infringement, see god would be completely pissed if they copied something he made directly...

haha it was the first thing that came to my mind!

43   Re: How to Handle Experience Points
Perhaps you could award things based on wether or not they entered combat..whether or not they did play a crucial role..ect

For instance a base level of experience awarded to everyone, then compounded further by those stipulations. If they did get into combat they get a bonus because those that didnt were observing the situation, it would give experience sure but there's watching and then there's actually doing it yourself. Perhaps award experience to those who endured damage?
In fact if you wanted to get creative you could change the experience system entirely and produce a 'stat building' system..strength when you hit things (a progress bar of sorts next to the stats?) fortitude when you get hit by things (or perhaps natural defense..whatever works best).

Sorry that idea popped in out of nowhere hahaha. If you do change things in such a way and take out the experience gained when actually defeating an opponent then it'd be harder for your players to 'build up' as they say. But im sure these are things every developer needs to consider Smiley

ive just been rambling really..heh..hope any of this spurrs useful ideas!

Newts: What are your plans for this weekend?

Seani: Well since next weekend is so far away plans are hard to come by but i do think im going to be recieving some money sometime during this week so i hope im getting a Wii this weekend

Newts: It's my birthday next week. How old do you think I am?

Seani: I'd say you are Twenty Five...but im probly wrong. You are sophisticated enough for thirty Wink

Newts: What's the worst sickness or accident you've ever had?

Seani: Sickness ive never been past a flu. Accidents however hehe: The neighborhood kids and i were riding bikes around when someone got the notion to craft a makeshift ramp constructed by laying a board ontop of a stack of 2x4's. We kept on adding more and more to the stack until we had run out of wood so then the next logical step was to increase the distance between the jump and the landing. We did this for a while until my fabled accident. I had taken the jump the best i could but the distance was just too far. My back tire (or Tyre) caught the topmost portion of the board and flung me and the bike headfirst into a flip that the bike and i managed to land on my back. With bike ontop of me i slid down the street for at least ten or fifteen feet. Wearing shorts at the time all of that distance was covered entirely ontop of my leg. I had scratched my leg from knee to ankle pretty badly and there was blood and everything. The solution to such a problem was to douse the wound in cream and just let it heal up, and so it did.

Newts: Can you come up with a solution for Dev's special characters problem?

Seani: I think perhaps Devlyn is not taking advantage of the cosmetic effects of peanut butter, and that should he choose to rectify that perhaps his special characters problem will see that he is a truly beautiful man and surrender.
