Hey all! I'm still alive!
Where have i been you ask? Well, working on an evening tech support phone line of course!
Now I have escaped, I thought i'd share some of the funnies with you:
Fool: "Hello, yes, I only have 1Mb broadband when i should have 4Mb!"
Edgey: "Ok....have you done a speed test?"
Fool: "Yes, it comes out at around 1Mbps, i'm paying for 4Mb I should be getting 4Mb!!"
*20 mins of troubleshooting pass by: Internet options, TCP/IP settings etc...*
Edgey: "How is your computer setup with the modem?"
Fool: "I'm using a router"
Edgey: "Anything else plugged into that router at the moment?"
Fool: "Yes, two laptops, two PC's and a playstation"

Good to have you back mate. Do you get paid ridiculous amounts for working on a tech support line, just like people pay ridiculous amounts for a tech support line to get them working?

The pay was damn good man. Especially as my working hours were 7pm-11pm!
Also, how would you feel if you queued up for tech support for 40mins and then eventually found out that all you had to do was press the 'on' button to resolve the problem?
Either ways, I have now left as I have a job as a multimedia designer! Hurrah!
