Hi everyone
After reading the post about this place over at shiningforcecentral I thought I would try and post here a bit more regularly.
I was working on a project in VB6 and bugging people here about it intermittently but I lost a lot of what I'd done (which to be honest wasn't a huge amount) when my PC gave up the ghost. It also got sidetracked when I actually got a job and couldn't spend my days alternating between daytime TV and my fan game.
However, now I'm more settled at work I plan to start work on it again. Also, I'm currently attending a C# course this week - and can see plenty of application of the Object-oriented approach for my ideas.
I'm trying to get a copy of Visual Studio off my friend and when I do I hope to have a demo in a few weeks....months?
Well - I'm a fair bit more optimistic than I was about it before.

That's very nice to hear
.
Are you planning on keeping working with VB6 or are you considering a switch to C#?

Great news! The most difficult is to start, then everything should go smoothly.

I'm planning to switch to C#. I lost so much I would be practically starting over in VB so I think I'll do it in C#.

I hope so too!
I have got my copy of it now so I can start work - but I want to finish of my basic plotting first. Character design is well on the way though
However, I'm off to the Reading Festival for a few days - damn real life always getting in the way. Still, a weekend of musical goodness will aliveate my pain
