Firstly - we've added 3 more character profile pages to the SFTA World>Characters section on our website

and also, we've started up our HQ contest again, in which submitters get the chance to have a character named after them in SFTA, and have that character designed to their specifications.

It's really nice artwork. Is it going to be the characters' portraits? I wonder how those will look in 3D... How is it to design 3D characters?

I wanted to put it up a week ago, but I forgot about it, and due to finishing off my Bachelor I totally forgot about it :/.

The artwork u see will be the talking portraits yes.  The battle / attack sprites will be 3D, or so im told .... personally, id rather go for the more classical 2D SF look, but its not up to me.

Well in fact you can have a glimpse at the SF:TA look when you have a look at our XMas Demo (*shameless advertizing*) - planned is the folowing:

3D Towns with Pseudo 3D Sprites (like SF3) - the same look will be used in in town battles.
Probably a 2D worldmap similar to SF2 - the same look will be used in worldmap battles.

There are some issues with this general mix but I guess that will be our last problem  

Currently the hardest slowdown is my master thesis - real life sucks

Reall life is undoubtably horrible, and thats why SFTA should not be.  I find that her christmas suit at all times of the year keeps out the "real-life" aspect.  Heh, just kidding, I think it's well on it's way.  As long as I can walk around, I expect great things from all games.

A short status update (nothing spectecular just to keep you updated):

Basically nothing worked they way it should, especially I had no time at all for several month now. Nevertheless there still is hope that this might change in the near future so SF:TA will gather it's strength again. And hopefully reagain its pace.

There is very few hope for a X-Mas Demo this year but I promise a real Easter egg    well at least a new Demo then.

I think Dev and Grom might be to busy to post the news of our project, so Ill take care of this
We are now done with the chara section - the chara portraits of the playable ones can bee seen together with some status and bios-information. Of course the more secret / harder to get charas or the one with really special classes wont be revealed until games finsihed....which will be 2023...j/k.

No, were really trying to work on the game, but exams are keeping dev and myself very busy. Currently everyone has at least a bit returned to work. Groms working on new tracks, Devs working on next demo and Im trying to do new artwork/CG stuff. We also have a new member AJ Letson who wants to help, hopefully this means some steps in the script and idea section.

Huh, what link does not work?? The one from the sfta mainpage is still alive, but the one from SFC is probably dead. No wonder after a whole year  :lol:
