Possibly the best tune I ever wrote.

ahhhh...the shrine theme

So dark and yet serene. Beautiful in its own regard.

Also a place of great pain and suffering, as Ken will tell you.

Ive stepped one tile of the far bridge by the greatest symbol etched into the ground...and there unfortunately is where my adventure almost always stops Sad

Brilliant Smiley

It is a gorgeous piece of music, mate. The full version, with horns and violins and everything, will probably be up... some day. I don't know when.

So much suffering has taken place there... I've only ever been there once Tongue

Someone once said they could listen to this tune over and over and never get bored. Awesome. Sounds good here, too.

I always thought it rather sad that my own creation could defeat me. I'd love to finish the game one day, but right now exams are killing me.

Aren't you glad exams don't last forever, then?

The Vagabond theme came fairly quickly, I seem to recall - I don't remember much about it, but it's a fairly simple tune so it was probably quite a quick one. It was the second or third piece I wrote for SO actually, which is probably why it's so simplistic, but it's certainly the catchiest, hummiest one there

A marching theme from Sir Phill. Actually very good, when you listen to it. Better than any marching theme I've written, that's for sure

Exams vs. Ty is an age-old battle, just like Trent vs. Ken - they keep knocking him down and he just gets up to take another one for the team. Always with the knackers. Poor guy.

Not too much more content in this post, apart from my obviously much improved avatar and sig. I'll try and create a gif animation of Trent vs. Ken just for you, mate Smiley

We can only hope that this continued nagging will have its desired effect Smiley

Another tune which would've made it into the final game:

http://www.prosody.co.uk/SOnlinetune.mp3

I like this tune a lot. It's very clever. Sean seems to think it'd be a good inn theme, but I definitely see it as a triumphant, almost anthemic piece. It probably would've been an introduction theme or something, or I could adapt it for a pub theme... or maybe a smithy! The opportunities are many and varied Smiley

It'd be really cool if you could finish it some day! I'm even willing to help with it, and somewhere I'd really like to have a single level as pack-in demo for BABS sometime Wink.

Dev - I'll consider BABSifying the Shrine battle for you in a few weeks. That way people might actually be able to complete it Wink

At the moment SO's completion is but a distant dream. But, like all dreams, it gets nearer every day. Unless it never gets finished, of course.

Sounds great!
Let me know what kind of spells you need for that battle though! That way I can add appropriate support for those spells Smiley.

The spells currently supported are:
Blaze 1-3
Bolt 1-2
Heal 1-2

Seeing as we didn't have magic in the demo, I'm not quite sure what to say Tongue

We'll definitely need Escape/Egress level 1, Blaze level 1 and Heal level 1. I think that's it... I don't really know what's in Demo 3B to be honest Tongue

Escape/Egress level 1? Sounds do-able to me.

As for anything else, just name it. Implementing new spells isn't that hard to do, it takes 20 minutes tops once I have the animation Smiley.
