I have played Four of them. Are there any More?

Strangely enough, that depends on which four you have played. Some are more Shining than others

Here's the "force" style games that I know of:
* Shining Force (Genesis/Megadrive and GBA versions)
* Shining Force II
* Shining Force III (3 different parts, plus bonus premium disc)
* Shining Force CD
* Shining Force: Final Conflict & Shining Force: Gaiden (Sega GameGear - wasn't released outside of Japan but there's a translation patch around so you can play in English).
They're the only turn-based ones that I know of. I think there's one coming out for the DS, and a few available for mobile phones in Japan. There's a lot of games that have "Shining" in the title but aren't really related to the original gameplay, such as Shining in the Darkness. There's a few good ones, and my favourite is "Shining the Holy Ark". It's first-person and takes a little getting used to, but it's good fun and ties into the Shining Force 3 story a little.

i played the DS one, its just like the original but expanded. I think i have played all of those except number three. The 1st and 2nd are amazing

There's a DS one now? If you're referred to Shining Force Cross then that's good, because I hoped it would be good.
SFIII is my favourite by far. Amazing, amazing game (if you don't mind two-thirds of it being in Japanese!)

Ha well i don't speck japanese, but it doesn't bug me that much. I have the ROM download for the ds version, its like the first but more in depth and longer, with a prolouge to each chapter...

Are you not thinking of Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon on GameBoy Advance? As far as I know, the only Shining Force game on DS is Shining Force Cross, which is some weird action-strategy hybrid. Still, if SFC is like the original I'll be very pleased!

Shining Force Cross... sounds like an unfortunate collision of strategy gaming and religious zealotry.
I just saw a translation of a piece of the end-of-game sequence:
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
Still... I guess it would work better than, say, Shining Force Crotch, which would be an unfortunate collision between strategy gaming and... porn. Then again, every game will get its crowd of fans somehow...
