Yeah, we've tried before, but this whole Beeman phenomenon has got me thinking about Ye Olde Band again. I think that doing individual parts and splicing them together for 3-4 people and numerous songs would be horrible. So, what I propose is for everyone to record their own songs in their own style. The rules are as follows;

All songs must be "loosely based" on well-known songs, but with lyrics that are somehow related to TSS/YoB/the stuff we do around here. No straight covers, unless you fancy taking on the lawyers Tongue

Do the song in whatever style you want, so make it interesting. Dev's doing a gothic version of Beeman to follow up on my sweetly acoustic version. Use your imagination.

That's about it, really. Let's think of some famous songs, change the lyrics so they're suitably stupid and get recording!

What an awesome track that is. If we ever get a Beeman cartoon, that'll be the scary theme tune to terrify the kids Tongue

At the moment, these artists are lined up to get the Ye Olde Band treatment;

Britney Spears
The Beatles (particularly "Yellow Submarine")
Elvis
Sonny and Cher - I Got You Babe (a duet between Ty and Dev? Tongue)

Any more are gladly welcomed!

At the moment, I'm swaying towards doing a swing/big band version of Beeman, which I reckon would be awesome Tongue I haven't come up with any new song ideas as I'm a bit on the busy side here, but I thought about TV theme tunes as a possible goldmine of good stuff. The Pok?mon theme, anyone? Tongue

"I wanna be the very best..."

Possibly the strangest song ever
Yet another version of the ubiquitous "Beeman" track, this time a collaboration between Devlyn and myself. It's quite possibly the weirdest song you'll hear this year, if not in your entire life.

A little sidenote - if you think the song's terrible, that's perfect Tongue It's not supposed to be a serious song, so just enjoy it Cheesy

Edit - HTML didn't want to work for some reason :S
