Hehe you knew i was gonna post it

I want my SO! i have reached the maximum area i can possibly go with beta 4 (stepping on the far bridge in the shrine, and seein' that boss design! huah!)
and that's with only cody remaining..with about 1-3 hp left.

I have tried to do better but it seems i cannot and i find myself wanting!!! hehe i know other projects and the usual life stuff can have precidence at times...you know me..SO diehard for about four years now? three? man how long has it been?

anywho...i miss my SO

I must practice, now I have a comp fast enough to play SO at full speed, I have some chance of beating Seanikins when the next demo comes out.

Damn dude your nearly beat the second battle? I barley killed like the first guy  :shock:

There's more than one battle? Is this 3b, or has there been another release? How in the heck do u get past that first battle???

3b. The first battle was pretty easy really. The second battle on the other hand looked nerly impossible

I might put the old demos online when I finally finish the TSS main site.

I'd love to work on SO at the moment, would be a break from my other project. Newts and I both agree that we'll stick to what we're best at, so he will compose more excellent music, and I shall code more crappy...stuff.

Art is the big problem at the moment, seeing as we will be doubling the res to 640 * 480 for technical reasons. My art is acceptable at low res, but not good enough for higher. I may put out a plea for artists in time, but for now I think I'll have to draw some placeholder art. Urg.

So there you have it. SO may be dead, but it's not buried

Higher resolution would be great...you could do a lot with that, providing you have good artwork of course .

hehe be neat to have another demo or installment that i can completely spank

the unique creation must be realised! IT MUST!! hehe.
perhaps newts could whip up an acoustic schpeal for a town to give it that 'festive' appeal?

Hopefully the new resolution wont create new issues for you guys any stick in the SO mud is one more thing standin' in muh way  :twisted:

I never got past the first battle, although i only played it like twice.  Any progress on this recently?

Well, it only depends on you you know...
Maybe you will have progressed once you manage to get past the first battle.

Shining Online is still on an official break, which means no hard work - graphics, music, levels etc. - is being done, but I do the odd story rewrite every few months. I don't know when it'll get back in full swing.

And Noma, if you can't get past the first battle in a whole TWO attempts, well... shows how hard you tried, really. Remember there's no magic or items, and alter your tactics accordingly.

Well, I beat the first battle, but I couldn't get passed it.  The game froze both times after I killed the last beetle.  And a third time when I tried it the other night.

Don't quite understand this project yet? Any good details on it?
