LGU Newsletter
Since im sick of character limits and stuff...and i'd like to somewhat inject some personality into my football club..ive decided to create a topic here in the HT Lounge that i will post the 'LGU Newsletter' in. Hopefully someone'll give a crap about the goings on of my club Smiley and if not maybe i could use this as a reference on who is sucking at the moment
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the first installment of LGUnited Newsletter!

The aim is to keep the HTforum regulars updated on all the nitty and gritty details of my clubs success or failure.

Current Status[/u]

Thus far LGU has tried to shell it out in its now demoted league of VI.523
and with predicted ease we've managed to stay on top thus far.
We dont really expect much of a challenge this season whatsoever..only perhaps the occasional big hit or bad card calls.

Latest Match Report[/u]
Last weekends game was an incredible 0-5 victory for LGU. Marin Oprea (11386399) made a terrific break through the homes right side defence after a slight mis-understanding and drove it home for 0-1 just eleven minutes after the match begun. After some fine field control a pass found an alert Carlos Azcona (22703769) he Volleyed it in for 0-2 just twenty-four minutes into the match. Marin would break through the right yet again thirty-seven minutes in and strike, upping the stakes to 0-3. As soon as play begun again Carlos would blaze down the pitch, field an incredible pass from the right and volley it in yet again within mere seconds of Marin, throwing it up 0-4. Ramon Heano (17647554) would before the end of the match bump it in, after some nice footwork in from the right making the final score to 0-5.

Penalties involved the Home team, The Minnesota Conquerors. One in particular between LGU's dependable wingback George York (11212650) and Conquerors central defender Todd Leblanc. Leblanc was booked for the challenge, York however was assisted off the pitch to the dismay of those on the bench. He suffered from what was clearly a busted ankle. The club doctors have examined the break and were pleased to discover the break was clean, and reccomened that York stay off his feet for a month. He will be missed on the linuep.

International Friendly[/u]
Although we dont report much from friendlies, we do have a few things to mention.
Young Winger Michael Crist (20060457) made a valiant charge for a loose pass but lost his footing and twisted his knee, club doctors say he will remain off the pitch for two weeks. Young Trainee Douglas Santana (20064379) had placed his foot awry and sprained his ankle just a little..he finished the match however this is the second injury of its kind in a few weeks, it has the management worried.

Training[/u]
Training thus far has been rather slow going for LGU..although tag-team innermidfielders Amos Connor (11212652) and Toni Anero (11212647) have made drastic improvements in their game. Toni recently increased up to Formidable whilst Amos is only Excellent..but he continues to post 3.5 stars. Star child David Delgado (21118984) hovers at Solid for the moment..the training program is hoping to incorperate him into the A squad lineup ASAP, his progress has been both steady and promising throughout his LGU career. Other Trainees such as Ezmundo Gonzalez (21690211) , Louis Deliwala (11846010) , and Douglas Santana (20064379) are making slow but steady progress in the midfield.

Free Agents and Transfers[/u]
No planned transfers anytime soon..however eventually Louis Deliwala and Douglas Santana will be reaching their age peak for productive training..they are not A grade as far as skills are concerned but im sure they may prove to be an asset as opposed to an expensive experiment.

New Coach for LGU?[/u]
We have been on the hunt for a new coach to guide LGU to the top..although we respect Courtney Winter's (12909994) position..we..really dont respect him at all. Thus far under Courtney we have posted record losses..both at home and away, we've also been demoted from V.172, our beloved birth-league. Sacking courtney wouldnt produce any negative results as far as the management is concerned..in fact we cant wait.
The new coach for LGU shall eventually be star right winger Miguel Trincado Settier. A vital player on the pitch..however age is slowly catching up with him and he is looking into retirement possibilities..we were excited to hear he was considering a coaching position.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
School is approaching..i'll edit the rest into here Smiley

Sounds like things are going well over there mate Smiley.

Too bad my team is undergoing major suckage, as I keep getting overwhelmed by injuries and red cards (2 more yesterday :s)...

Micro Version:

During the recent 8-0 smashup at LGUArena star innermid Amos Conner contracted an incredible leg injury that will have him bed-ridden for three weeks..he will surely be missed as he and Toni Anero had such a chemistry together...
The management is considering giving its trainees in the program a chance to play in the big time without Amos' helpfull nature..this would be a step into the spotlight for them as both Toni and Amos do much to try to console the youths and give them tools to become something great.

Currently the B squad has been sent packing to Sweeden for an international friendly

- The 4,5 and 6th division are getting stronger.
- Cards and injuries now strike Blahians too Sad
- We went for the cup too much
- Teamspirit sucks with a bad leadership coach

As for Ca$hmaster... The club is undergoing a serious tactic change and try to min/max on player skills

I can't remember what i was trying to forget

I see Smiley.

Well, I'm still managing to stay strong in the IV, and even though I don't rise in the rankings my ratings are rising. Yesterday I was the 4th strongest team of all VI's.

And still I'm stuck on that lousy third place Sad
