Please take me seriously, I am really stressed out about this situation and don't really know where else to turn. Here goes.

I've suspected for some time now that my girlfriend has been cheating on me. All of the usual signs are there. The phone rings, I answer, someone hangs up. She has started going out with 'the girls' a lot recently although when I ask which girls she always says "Just some friends from work, you don't know them".

I always look out for her taxi coming home but she always walks down the drive although I can hear a car setting off. It is as if she has gotten out of the car around the corner. Why? Is it not a taxi?

I once picked up her mobile phone just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again and why was I checking up on her.

Anyways, I have never approached the subject with her. I think deep down I just don't want to know the truth but last night she went out again and I decided to check on her. I decided I was going to hide behind my car which would give me a view of the whole street so I could see which car she gets out of when she comes home. It was whilst crouched behind my car that I noticed rust around my rear wheel arch.

Should I take it into a body repair shop or should I buy some stuff and try to repair it myself?

I would really appreciate advice on this, especially from somebody who has been in this situation before.

rust is never a good thing mate, especially on a car.
I would say if you feel confident that you can do it then by all means grab what materials you need.

Is there some kind of way you can get an estimate as to the damage thus far? you could end up saving yourself some money doing it yourself..but if there's the possibility that you could do more damage i'd say pay the extra pounds and know that it was done with expert care.

It could be that whole 'personal space' testing crap women sometimes pull on their men They fabricate a situation to make it seem as though they are cheating to see wether or not you'll respond in the 'Expected' manner.

Dont jump to conclusions, not without hard case facts. If there's been a dramatic change of emotions and feelings towards you then it would be cause for concern. Im all for individuality but in these times you can never be real sure mate

If she persists and such, go out with 'The guys' every so often. Turnabout is fair play mate, just dont go cheatin'...hehe. Go have fun, dont wallow in stress, grab a pint and kick back.

I'm not quite sure whether this is a joke topic or not.
Err, either way, do something

I have no experience in that area, so I would definately bring it to some local garage for fixing rather than try to do it myself.

Besides that, I guess it depends on the value of the car... if the car is only worth 2000 (insert monetary unit here) and taking care of the rust would take near that much or more , I'd just leave the rust be. By the time the rust becomes a serious problem for your car, you'll most likely have moved on to the next car anyway and it won't be worth much, whether you fix the rust now or not.
