It wasn't intentional though.
There was a crane fly buzzing around my bedroom light, so I tipped the lightshade so it fell out. It must've broken its wings or something, because it fell to the floor and started walking, instead of flying around. I picked it up and took it to the bathroom window, where I intended to put it on the windowsill... unfortunately it panicked and missed the windowsill, plummeting to its probable doom.
Poor crane fly.

That's a good point mate - I did help it escape the lightshade, which it seemed incapable of doing on its own. Maybe it was fate that meant it had to die that way. Obviously if its wings hadn't broken so easily, it would've been okay. It makes sense

you afforded him a more comfortable death by slamming into the ground as opposed to frying alive mate...
I think that should afford you some consideration in the Crane Fly Society
Good on you mate

you are merciful but yet you are vengeful!
that spider could've eaten that fly you had rescued earlier

With one hand I give, then I take away.
There's still a brown smudge on my wall from our dearly departed arachnid friend. He is in a better place now.
