Poetry Thread V2.0
I remember waaay back when there was a poetry thread. I've recently started writing alot of poetry figured i'd start a thread where we can share the inner thoughts of blah.

This is the newest poem I wrote,

Smile with a tear
----------------------------------------------------------------
Its like when light sparkles off a teardrop
Beautiful sorrow
Happiness tomorrow
Open the flood gates and don't let them stop
Souls that are hollow
Theres no tomorrow
Glancing up into the clouds praying for hope
goodbye father
goodbye mother
Rain strikes me down, guess what the answer is

DDDDD    EEEEE  RRRRR     PPPPP   !!!
D        D   E          R      R     P       P  !!!
D        D   EEEE    RRRRR     PPPPP   !!!
D        D   E          R    R       P
DDDDD    EEEEE  R      R     P            !!!

Re: Poetry Thread V2.0
well, that's a nice poem. If anyone pay attention to my signature you know I'm a poet as well. Taking into consideration that this is a forum mostly dedicated to a game, I'd like to share a poem I wrote about video games. I won 4th in my highschool newspaper's poetry contest with this. It's already copywrited to me on Poetry.com

"Level Up!"
When I game
I feel no pain
Anything is possible

As I rack up score
I just want more
I feel almost unstoppable

Pwnge with no end
Enemies I rend
Me you cannot tame

One more fight
I'll beat this tonight
This is why I game

outnumbered always
by monsters and armies
raise your sword and stave
you have a world to save
-1st stanza of "Epic" a poem I wrote

Comfort in the night
Deep rooted gash for my soul
Solace as we speak

I can't open my beer.
I can't open my beer.
I can't open my beer.
Ahh, now I can.

That is the greatest poem ever.

“Epic”
Outnumbered always
By monsters and armies
Raise your sword and stave
You have a world to save

In yourself believe
Greatness you’ll achieve
Improve yourself day by day
Ahead of the enemy you’ll stay

Defend innocence
Defeat malevolence
If you stay alive
You will soon arrive

At the doors of hell
You have done so well
The road has been rough
But are you strong enough?

outnumbered always
by monsters and armies
raise your sword and stave
you have a world to save

Re: Poetry Thread V2.0
The whole world has been destroyed,  a handful of towns left.
Mutations roam the countryside,  of humanity bereft.
Someone pressed a single button, nuclear war ensued.
Now we must fend for ourselves, all pride has been subdued.

My life is now so simple, farm and fight, eat and sleep.
The eldest teach the very young, our knowledge we must keep.
I must hold at bay the monsters, who know not how to live.
Kill them or you will die, they do not take you captive.

Defences will be raised, and a new small army trained.
A force that fights for good, to keep the bad restrained.
We shall be known all around, by everyone in due course.
Heroes of the last people, the final shining force.
