This is old news by now, but I was in our local paper a few months ago - our games shop donated a Wii to a children's hospital who'd had theirs stolen. The article is HERE, and features me looking stupid for the purposes of an interesting photo. It's quite similar to UK:R's "Best Publicity Photo Ever", but with more pretend make-up.
Have you been in the news recently, or in fact ever? What have you done that you think is newsworthy?

I don't think I've been in any news since I was a kid(fingers crossed).

haha, I read that and felt a small glow, because although I didn't remember the chap in question - even though we get very few Admirals in the store - I know I've done that many times in the past so I was sure it was me.
I'm surprised your party story didn't get you splashed across the papers mate, but maybe that's an indication of how poorly I understand the world of newspapers!

Your manager got less positive comments it seems:
"Good times, but I notice that store manager is smiling his head off in the picture. When you go in the store you are lucky if the miserable swine even says please or thank you."

Which is strange because he's normally quite a jolly chap!
I got a phonecall from our local radio station earlier this week telling me a listener had rung in to ask how to get past a puzzle in CSI: Dark Motives on DS, so they naturally thought to ring me at work and ask if they could put her through to me! I politely declined and passed on the address for GameFAQS, then made sure to mention our location and opening hours

I've been in the news three times, but none intentionally really. Once when i was born and then later again because i have twin brothers and then last time a few years ago, when i took a course on Mad-Cow disease (i needed the 1 credit to be full-time) and some reporter started asking me questions about the course. Over here it's really easy to be in the news
.
