Make sure when you extract it you have folders enabled. You should have a folder called “data” with a load of files in it. Can’t remember exactly, so I’ll run the demo later and see what I can find :)

Hmm, I’m not quite sure what the problem is. I haven’t actually touched that demo for 3 years, so my memory is a little hazy ;) I downloaded it last night and got it working, so I’m stumped at the moment.

Whereabouts does the error occur, and what operating system are you using?

I do remember you, so you should come back to Ye Olde Blah :P

I think I might know what the problem is, so I’ll take a look tomorrow.

So i just tried this out and… way cool! It looks like all the major elements of a shining game are here. I really hope you keep working on this project, a shining game that is playable by multiple people online would be great. If it helps, I’d be happy to contribute any graphics from my project that could also work for Shining Online. Oh, and my favourite character so far is Sir Wolfio!

Hey Ty, i seem to be suffering from the “memory access violation” error too. I use windows XP SP2. Any way to resolve this?

I’m still not sure what causes this error with this demo. It’s an error that occurs when files aren’t loaded properly, so my other guess would be that path names with a space in (such as “My Documents”) could be breaking it.
