Beta 1.0

Huge overhaul to much of the core code.

Many things have been optimized and the engine is mostly feature complete.

Alpha 1.6.2 (Merry Christmas!)

A somewhat crazy Christmas present for all the hardcore fans!

You now have access to one nightmare of a battle. Seriously, it takes a ton of strategizing, skill, and luck to beat.

This battle alone can take 2-3 hours to play through so be prepared to spend some time on it.

Christmas Challenge battle. Your 6 characters vs all 66 enemies seen in chapter 1 all in 1 huge battle royale! (Good luck!)
Challenge Mode Setting. Setting this to ‘true’ will give you access to the challenge battle when starting a new game.
Respawnable Chests. Simply put, if a room restarts, its contents are refilled.
Enemy Death Trigger. The death of a unit can now trigger an update in AI, cause more units to spawn, etc.

Chests Optimized
- Info on all chests is now within a single script
- Allows for flavor text overrides
- Allows for custom script overrides
- Merged Lootable and Battle Lootable objects
Moved redundant battle start code within the Battle Start script.
Optimized level up script
- Added ‘loser pity bonus’
Bookshelves Optimized
Fixed ‘trying to draw unknown surface’ issue. (Hopefully)
Fixed ‘light of hope’ only restoring the user’s mana.
Counter attack damage has been corrected. You no longer always hit 1s.

Factions
- Support for dynamically creating more factions
- Each faction has an 'enemy' and 'ally' list
- Supports one sided relations (one faction being able to attack another but the other cant fight back)

Fixes

Fixed status page. Now gold, level, kills, and defeats are only displayed for player characters.
Fixed characters not updating the LE window when pathfinding.
Updated character portraits.
Fixed shadow on wolf and alpha wolf facing down sprites.
Fixed 'minimum search distance' not working properly when choosing a target to pathfind to.
Fixed room transition eye sore when playing the cutscene in the ship room.
Fixed 'old rope' displaying as 'old rope1' during the locked chest cutscene.
Fixed issue with 'LoadGame' transition.
Fixed crash when traveling from undership to ship. (gg case sensitivity)
Fixed spell slot 2 'level' being offset by 12 pixels.

Battle Stuff

Spells and Items can now restore Mana
Spells and items can now have infinite AoE size. (ie, aura 4 heals all allies)
Enemies can now use items (Healing items are used if an ally falls below 75% HP)
Enemies can now cast both healing and offensive magic.
Added Room Pan Transition when walking to the edge of a room.

Fixes

Removed grey line on the right side of the UnderShip map.
Removed the obsolete 'Name2' variable from items. (No longer needed after fixing the font issue)
Merged item effects and spells into the same script.
Improved item use code in battle.
Corrected missing period when using power potions in town.
Power potions can now be used during battle.
Fixed pathfinding. Enemies now follow least cost path as opposed to shortest.
Fixed issue with enemies forming a single file line when pathfinding to a target.
Fixed Viking Idle sprite changing colors.

Cancel button can be used to automatically select 'no' to the yes/no menu
Arrow keys now increase dialogue speed.
Z button will increase dialogue speed AND auto advance.
Persistent Cutscene Trigger Tiles (For recurring events)
Interactable objects have a "hidden" option which bypasses the instant interact via Z button
Search Menu officially added.

- Can now change dialogue print speed
- Can now change status effect mode (chance to inflict on every hit or 100% to inflict but on crit only)
- Can now toggle perma death (Cant rez characters)
Dynamic Lighting System
- Limited vision in caves
- Supports gradient / smooth lighting

Optimized Main Menu
You can no longer set 2 controls to the same key (If there's a conflict, it will now swap the two)

Cutscene 3 (Town Meeting) is now more interesting. (Hopefully. At least it's less of an exposition dump.)
You can only talk to Jamie once.
Jamie 'leaves' between room changes if you talk to her.
Fixed issue with Moving NPC Objects in cutscenes.
