No surprises…

You probably won’t be surprised at all by the news that SO work has come grinding to a halt, and as such the demo deadline will not be met by us, but instead by Devlyn who’ll be releasing our early beta (unless he changes his mind, which I doubt :P) – We’ll call it demo3B ;)

Either way, apologies, but university is more important than demo 4 :P

Shining Text released!

Mage of Blackest Night recently sent me a demo of Shining Text, his text adventure game written in Pascal.

You can create your own unique character, and even engage enemies in battle. It’s an interesting game, and is certainly worth a download to have a look, especially to those who’ve never played a text adventure before ;)

It comes in a self-extracting archive. Get it here! (dead)

SMEE Update

Well, I enhanced SMEE, the happy Shining Map editor some more yesterday night.

I made a bit of a workaround for the switching windows slowdown bug, but I’ll still have to test it with other computers as it might not be 100% fool-proof. :)

Also, I implemented an add-tile and I delegated the graphical interface design to Lazy Bum. I look forward to what he’ll come up with! :)

About Shining Force Central

Moogie posted a small explanation about the enduring downtime of Shining Force Central. (dead link to old forum post)

You might want to read it, as she is searching for help with uploading the site when the server gets back up :).

Uploaded Acebloke’s Shining War

Acebloke made yet another Shining game, this one is called Shining War. It features a rather simple battle engine, but it might be interesting to try out :)

You can find it here. (dead link) :)

p.s. Sorry for putting it up so late Ace!
