Hi guys,

Although it’s been frighteningly quiet on the Shining front these days, we ain’t half dead yet :).

I received an e-mail from a guy who felt like helping out with a project and pointed him to some of the more active and suitable projects out here. Also, we might be getting another affiliate.

And finally, there is a _very slim_ chance that I’m going to kick the Shiny Sword project into activity again. That’s all I have to say about it :).

sadly, it seems the novelty of this contest has died out. So ive decided to end it here. The very few submissions i recieved for part 3 HAVE been saved and will be taken into consideration when deciding a winner.

As for the winner, s/he is yet to be decided. Ill talk to Develin and Produn about this, and hopefully we will come to some kind of agreement. The Winner will have a playable character named to their choosing and designed to their specifications for the game, they will also recieve a Shining Force Manga Phone card and a Shining game (probably SF:RotDD or Shining Tears) The runner-ups will recieve rare Shining Tears promotional fliers.

Our affiliate Shining Mania has now been shut down by its owner Redhawk. From the site:

This is Redhawk. yes the old owner of this joint. Sadly Shining Mania has been put down. I am terribly sorry to all of those who have worked on the project. I know some of you have worked really really hard on this. I am terribly disapointed that I have to leave this great project that was started in September.

It also appears that Redhawk himself is leaving the Shining scene for good, although he does hint at a return in the future.

Today I received an invitation for the Shining Force Webring from Moogie, and agreed to join up with it, considering that the site could use some additional exposure!

This joinage is, however, unfortunately the direct cause of the (rather oogly) graphic in the bottom of the left menu. Rest assured though, Moogie promised a brand spanking new icon within a few weeks, which will be much smaller and pleasing for the eye.

Until then, I guess you’ll have to bear with us ;).

P.s. do NOT use it to browse the webring yet! Because, as it is, it’s rather layout-wrecking ;).
