Forum member fonzie has recently posted a topic about TavernRPG, an RPG that’s in development for the Sega Megadrive. It’s looking very impressive already, and from the sounds of things they’re quite close to having the core game completed.
Due to the size of the project (and it sounds huge), they’re looking for pixel artists to help create the finished article.
As fonzie put it:
We need help around sprites (monsters, NPC’s) and backgrounds to finish and make the most exciting 16bit RPG ever :D haha!
If you’re a maniac pixel pusher and want to support us, CONTACT ME!!! ^^
You can find out more information about the project, including more screenshots and a sample of the music, in this interview at sega-16. If you’d like to help with the project, you can leave a reply in the forum or contact fonzie via private messages.
Apologies for the downtime and change of domain. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but it wasn’t my fault. Either way, ShiningSource.net is our new home until things get sorted.
A quick Q & A session:
Will the old domain return?
Hopefully, but it’s difficult to say when.
Has anything been lost?
Nope, but if you link to TSS from another site you’ll need to update your urls from ShiningSource.org to ShiningSource.net.
Why do bad things happen to good people?
I don’t know, Timmy. I don’t know.
Hi all,
Read the latest entry in the Dark Resurrection thread.
Your input is greatly appreciated. :)
This evening I uploaded the first in my series of articles designed to help you create beautiful music for your Shining fangame. This one focuses on direct recording, with future articles on tracking, MIDI recording and hopefully some compositional theory too!
You can find the article in Shining Aid > Articles, or simply by clicking this link.
I’ve made two (very) small movie-clips about the latest progress of Dark Resurrection.
A very large movie-clip is in the works.
Church Movie.
Torch Movie.
