SHF webring membership

Today I received an invitation for the Shining Force Webring from Moogie, and agreed to join up with it, considering that the site could use some additional exposure!

This joinage is, however, unfortunately the direct cause of the (rather oogly) graphic in the bottom of the left menu. Rest assured though, Moogie promised a brand spanking new icon within a few weeks, which will be much smaller and pleasing for the eye.

Until then, I guess you’ll have to bear with us ;).

P.s. do NOT use it to browse the webring yet! Because, as it is, it’s rather layout-wrecking ;).

Uploaded Stordarth’s Graphics

Hi guys,

It’s been a while, but I’ve got a useful update here :D

Peter Dale recently sent me some preliminary SHF2-related graphics for use by other developers. Hence, I decided to package them and add them to the T.R.A.P. project. The package consists of a bunch of tiles, a _lot_ of sprites and a good amount of items as well. All of these are resized to 32×32 pixels using 2xSAI.

Hopefully they will be of use to some of you! Also, I’m still looking for more graphical and sound resources to put up (especially battle animations).

On a final note, I’d like to thank Stordarth for this very nice contribution :)

SF:TA HQ contest part 3

Ya thats right, last time i announced this on the SFC forums, they were about to undergo a massive change, and so i decided to change the method of submission for the contest from posting in the thread to emailing me.

This was clearly an unpopular method, cos i recieved a grand total of … *drum roll*

ONE submission.

So, now that the new forums are up, and the SFTA site isnt plagued by some bug anymore, ive decided to re-announce this contest.

T.R.A.P. launched!

In response to the requests of many, I hereby launch:

The TSS Resource Accumulation Project (a.k.a. TRAP)

Much like the Resources section on the old site, TRAP aims to provide as many public resources as possible. Currently I am the only participant in the project, but anyone is free to join or contribute to it.

Hopefully in due time we’ll have gathered enough resources for people to no longer worry about having to do so much work on graphics and sound ;).

Along with the Project launch, I added two releases. One of them is a small tile pack, while the other one points to a public directory where a bunch of my tracked songs are available for public usage.

There will be more to come in the near future from me, but don’t hesitate to mail me at devlyn@zonnet.nl if you want to help out!
