The Shining Source

Yes. It’s true. The admin team got their heads together last night, and we have thought of a way to release this game quite soon.

Of course, the game will not be completed, the world will continue to undergo expansion during this release period. But what we plan to give is a taste of the game to all those eager to try it.

We are currently working on the finalising of monster statistics, the construction of the entirity of south grans island, and the starting location. a few other matters need discussing also, but these will be ironed out soon I hope.

As this project continues to grow, i will also add any updates to the TRAP through devlyn.

With luck, this project will be released soon. i refuse to give a date, as there are many issues still under discussion.

sadly, it seems the novelty of this contest has died out. So ive decided to end it here. The very few submissions i recieved for part 3 HAVE been saved and will be taken into consideration when deciding a winner.

As for the winner, s/he is yet to be decided. Ill talk to Develin and Produn about this, and hopefully we will come to some kind of agreement. The Winner will have a playable character named to their choosing and designed to their specifications for the game, they will also recieve a Shining Force Manga Phone card and a Shining game (probably SF:RotDD or Shining Tears) The runner-ups will recieve rare Shining Tears promotional fliers.

Ya thats right, last time i announced this on the SFC forums, they were about to undergo a massive change, and so i decided to change the method of submission for the contest from posting in the thread to emailing me.

This was clearly an unpopular method, cos i recieved a grand total of … *drum roll*

So, now that the new forums are up, and the SFTA site isnt plagued by some bug anymore, ive decided to re-announce this contest.
